Coffee Trading Platform Development for Algrano
Algrano is a Swiss-based company revolutionizing the coffee industry through its innovative online E-commerce platform. This platform uniquely facilitates direct trade between coffee roasters and producers globally. By enabling not just the financial transaction of coffee but also streamlining logistics and quality assurance, Algrano ensures a seamless, transparent, and equitable trading process. The company has successfully completed Series B funding, highlighting its growth and potential in the coffee trade sector.
My Role
I joined Algrano to contribute to help in the development of the e-commerce and operations platforms. My role consisted of full-stack development of commercial and internal features.
The team
4 Fullstack Engineers, 2 UI Designers, 1 Product Owner and 1 Business Analyst.
The Process
Shape-up, using Basecamp for Project Management, Trello as the Kanban board for support tickets, Github for version control and Heroku and Semaphore for hosting and CI/CD.

I focused on leveraging my skills in Domain Driven Development to drive the company towards a more sustainable product.
Key Projects and Achievements
1. Order Page Overhaul
I played a key role in revamping the order page by integrating a predictive pricing tool. This tool was pivotal in enabling users to accurately forecast warehousing costs. It became an essential feature for our major clients, aiding them in effectively managing their profit margins on coffee sales.
2. Technical Migration to Webflow
I led the technical migration of static pages to a Webflow site. This involved orchestrating nginx configurations, which significantly enhanced our content management process. The migration resulted in more agile site maintenance and improved overall website performance.
